⚠ IMPORTANT: You may need to reapply soon for library after-hours access due to 1 King security changes.
The library is trialing after hours access for students. Access is available:
- Weekdays: 6am–8:30am & 4:30pm–11pm
- Saturday: 9am–11pm
- Sunday: 1pm–11pm
If you wish to apply for access, please read and agree to the guidelines below. Once approved, your swipe card access will be updated. Failure to adhere to these guidelines will result in access being removed.
Guidelines for Accessing the Library After Hours
- Enter 1 King St via the college green door. Your card cannot access other entry doors after hours.
- Use your swipe card to enter both the building and the Library. Do not allow others to tailgate.
- Each student MUST swipe individually.
- If you're already in the library at the 4:30pm closing time, you must leave and swipe back in.
- You must leave by 11pm. If you’re the last to leave, turn off the lights (button is behind the service desk).
- Drinks with lids and cold food are allowed. No hot or smelly food. Clean up spills immediately.
- If you spill on a book, do not clean it yourself. Leave it at the Service Desk with a note.
- Follow emergency instructions posted near the Ground Floor exit in case of an emergency.
- You are responsible for your belongings and any library items used. Be respectful and follow Library rules.
- Report Library issues to servicedesk@moore.edu.au.
- Report IT issues to helpdesk@moore.edu.au.
Emergency Instructions
- If the alarm sounds with “Emergency evacuate now”, evacuate immediately. The fire brigade will attend.
- Call Peter Orr on 0411 824 561 to notify of the alarm.
- Street doors will open automatically. Prevent others from entering until cleared by the fire brigade.
- Do not put yourself in danger.
- For medical or security emergencies, call 000.
- For urgent facility issues (e.g. doors won't close, major leak), call Peter Orr.
- For non-urgent issues, leave a note at the library desk.
